Although most homeowners policies do a good job of providing coverage for the basics, such as fire, theft, wind, and hail. There are a number of coverage options that may need to be added to a standard policy. Give us a call to discuss your unique needs.

Water Backup and or Sump Pump Failure: Covers loss caused by water or sewage that backs up through drains including overflow from sump pumps.

Service Line Coverage: Coverage for underground piping & wiring that connects to your home to a main service or utility line. Provides protection against a leak, break, tear, rupture, collapse or arcing of a covered service line.

Earthquake: Covers damage to your home due to earthquake, land shock waves or tremors.

Equipment Breakdown: Providesc coverage for physical losses or damage caused by mechanical, electrical, and pressure systems breakdown, which are excluded or limited in the Homeowners policy. Examples of covered property include heat pumps, air conditioning systems, electrical panels, televisions, household appliances, and swimming pool equipment. 

Refrigerated Products: Provides a specific limit of coveage which pays for the contents of a freezer or refrigerator that is damaged due to a direct result  of a power failure or and electrical/mechanical failure of the refrigeration system. 

Identity Theft Insurance: Covers costs related to restoring your identity, such as legal fees, lost wages, and credit monitoring, after fraudulent use of your personal information.

Home Cyber Protection: Provides coverage costs associated with cyber attacks that infiltrate your home, steal information, extort money and commit fraud. Coverage may include data recovery costs, system restoration costs, cyber extortion, fraud and data breach.

Scheduled Valuables: Covers specific valuable items such as jewelry, furs, musical instruments for their appraised value. Typically with a $0 deductible.

Ordinance or Law: Coverage against extra costs of loss resulting from ordinances or laws that regulate construction, repair or demoltion that may impact undamaged portions of a home after a coverd loss. 

In Home Business: Property & Liability coverage for those who conduct a full, or part-time business out of their home, or store business property at the residence.

Siding/Roof Restoration: Provides coverage to replace undamaged roofing or siding material after a loss due to it's discontinuation in order to match with the material used to replace the damaged portion.

Loss Assessment: Covers your portion of costs for damage to shared areas of a condo or HOA, like lobbies or pools. 

Special Personal Property: Provides coverage for pesonal belongings, protecting against risks of loss such as accidental damage or loss like mysterious disappearance (in most cases), with fewer exclusions than standard policies, often including worldwide coverage. 

Mine Subsidence: Covers property damaged by ground collapse due to underground mining. 

Flood Insurance: A separate policy which covers direct physical loss caused by flood waters. 

Umbrella/Excess Insurance: Provides and additional $1 million (or more) of liability coverage to all underlying personal insurance policies (auto, home, motorcycle, boat, etc.)
